Bosco vallefredda
The Bosco di Vallefredda is a municipal woodland located in the Pareti area of Otricoli. Covering more than 85,000 square metres, it represents one of the town’s most important green spaces and an ideal destination for visitors looking to experience nature in an active and sustainable way.
At the heart of the forest is an 850-metre nature trail, created along former forestry tracks once used for reforestation projects. The route offers both a relaxing walk through the woodland and an educational experience, thanks to a series of informative panels that introduce visitors to the flora, fauna and ecological characteristics of the forest environment.
The area is also equipped with a picnic zone, featuring tables, benches, barbecue facilities, waste bins and a drinking fountain, making it particularly suitable for families, school groups and outdoor gatherings.
To enrich the visit, the municipality provides audio and video guides that help visitors discover the natural history, biodiversity and environmental value of the woodland.
